珈琲店 (kohi-ten) means "coffee shop". However, the band chose an alternate pronunciation, カフェ, or Cafe. This pronunciation can still be seen on their previous official website: (アンティックカフェ - Antikku Cafe).

The band is variously called Antique Cafe, An Cafe, and Antic Cafe by fans. Their name is listed in English on the "Cosmos" single as "Antic Cafe", but on most of their recent singles. Their website has both, AN CAFE and アンティック-珈琲店- and visunavi has only アンティック-珈琲店-.

Bou, guitarist, left "An Cafe" on April, 30th 2007. On May 18th, after a short hiatus, the band's official website re-opened and revealed two new members: Takuya (guitar) and Yuuki (keyboard).
